We are pleased to make available for hire two Function Rooms:
The Wordsworth Suite is a comfortable and tastefully decorated room on the first floor with its own bar and dance floor. It comfortably accomodates around 60 persons and is usually booked for small parties, christenings, retirements and birthday events. It is also quite suitable for meetings, conferences and seminars where Tea, Coffee and biscuits are available. It is in fact the original dance room used prior to the extensions being buit to the rear of the club.
The costs for the hire of The Wordsworth Suite are:
Half Day - £40
Full Day - £80
Whole Day and Evening £160.
Christenings - £40 Current members receive a 20% discount on these prices.
The Churchill Suite is our largest Function Room comfortably accomodating 200 persons, although Fire Regulations allow for 25 more, and is regularly used to for dances, wedding receptions and any other events where more room is required. This room is equipped with a large bar area, stage, raised seating areas and floor seating areas around a dance floor. Rest rooms are also available within that complex.
The costs for the hire of The Churchill Suite are:
Half Day - £50
Full Day - £100
Whole Day and Evening £200.
Christenings - £50 Current members receive a 20% discount on these prices.
Current rules require the organiser of a 18th birthday party to seek the permission of The General Committee to hold the event before final arrangements are made.
16th and 17th birthday parties are not permitted and all birthdays for 18ths, 19ths, 20ths and 21sts attract a fee of £150 for the hire of the room.
A Function Room Agreement Form is available for completion and we ask it is returned with a deposit of £20 which is non-refundable. This form includes a number of conditions to the booking of the rooms.
